Bo's Experience in the Golf Industry
Bo Harris
Bower (“Bo”) Harris joined the RSCC Golf team in 2019 and serves as the RSCC Golf Team Player Development Coach. Bo is an accomplished Golf Instructor that teaches out of Dead Horse Lake Golf Course in Knoxville, Tn. Bo has been a Golf Instructor since 2010. and has had success in producing outstanding junior players from the Knoxville area and beyond. In 2010, Bo led Team Florida to 4 medals (2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) in the Special Olympic National Games. Bo began his teaching career locally with “The First Tee of Greater Knoxville” at Williams Creek Golf Course in Knoxville. Subsequently, in 2015, Bo became the Director of Instruction at Williams Creek as he opened his Award winning Golf Academy until moving to Dead Horse Lake Golf Course in January of 2019. As of this year Bo has conducted more than 10,000 lessons and is currently teaching remotely in 7 states and 4 countries.
Bo recently was awarded the 2019 USGTF Teacher of the Year and accepted this award in Phoenix, Arizona. Bo has also established an elite winter program at Tennessee Sports Medicine Clinic in Knoxville that has trained hundreds of local/national high school and college players.
Bo has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology Degree from UT-K and an Associate of Science in Golf Management from Keiser University in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Finally Bo has obtained 8 Teaching Certifications including but not limited to being 1 of only 3 Master Level Putting Coaches in the State of Tennessee.
